The main thing that I like about my job is meeting some of our customers who introduce us to activities that would otherwise remain a mystery to us. There is no better example of this than our new friends at British Showjumping, for whom we have now created an on line shop to assist their members with acquisition of the clothing for the Scotland branch.<\/p>\n

I’m sorry to say that I have not really followed the sport much myself since the ‘Golden Days’ of David Broome, Harvey Smith and Marion Mould, but now, thanks to our new connection, I’m sure that I will be keeping a much closer eye on the British team, especially the Scottish contingent.<\/p>\n

British Showjumping is an Olympic Sport and competes under the Team GBR banner at least once a year whether it be at the European Championships, World Equestrian or Olympic Games. \u00a0British Showjumping won Olympic Team Gold at London 2012 and Olympic Individual Gold at Rio 2016 with Nick Skelton and Big Star.<\/p>\n

Looking after the sport in Great Britain, as its governing body, British Showjumping formulate\u00a0the rules and codes of practice under which all affiliated competitions are held. Our purpose is to improve and maintain standards of showjumping, while encouraging members of all standards and at all levels to enjoy fair competition over safe and attractive courses.<\/p>\n

British Showjumping\u00a0has classes to cater for all levels of ability whether you simply want to compete occasionally at weekends over a 70cm course or on the global stage. We manage more than 3,000 shows each year providing a safe, structured and progressive environment for people to enjoy the sport within.<\/p>\n

Showjumping is a sport that reaches millions of people and is a sport enjoyed by the equine enthusiast, the professional\u00a0and those who have never been on or near a horse in their lives. It is also one of the only sports where men and women compete on equal terms across all age groups.<\/p>\n
